Sewing Classes

Sumalee, our sewing classes instructorSome call sewing a lost art…we call it Tuesday night! If you dream of stitching up your own clothes, curtains, baby blankets, or dog outfits, rest assured that you can learn the skills to make all your wildest Pinterest dreams come true in our sewing classes!

We have at least two sewing events per month: Sewing 101 (on the 2nd Tuesday of the month) and a sewing-focused DIY Party or Workshop. Scroll for details on booking.

Our workshops usually tackle a more intense project or something that takes more than two hours to complete, such as a garment. You can check our Schedule and Registration page to see if any of these are coming up.

We also teach private lessons starting at $45 a session (which is usually 2-3 hours). These are great for learning the skills you need to complete a specific project or if you feel you need a little one-on-one attention.

Sewing Classes at STCSewing 101

This workshop is designed to give you the confidence to attack any cute Pinterest sewing project that comes your way using tried and true sewing hacks for the modern sewer.

Our focus will be on using sewing machines, whether that means decoding the machine you bought but have never used, or if you want to test drive one of our machines before committing to your own.

We host this class once a month. Please see our Registration page for dates.

The Project

Each participant will walk away with a super cute pillowcase. This is the best project for beginner sewers because it is all straight seams, with just the right amount of ironing and hemming to keep things interesting.

The Materials and Equipment
For Sewing 101, all materials are included! We provide everyone with some cute patterned cotton fabric for the pillowcase, as well as the thread.

We highly recommend that you bring your own machine to this class. We have 3 machine available for guest use, and the first 3 people to reach out to us and reserve one after registering for the class will use them during class.

Refreshments, including wine, beer, tea, coffee, and cookies are all included. We pride ourselves on a low-pressure, casual, and creative atmosphere, making this the perfect opportunity to jump into sewing for just about anyone.

Reservations for a spot in the class must be made at least 36 hours in advance, and there are 8 spots available. You can reserve your spot by purchasing a ticket on Eventbrite or calling 407-732-7801 during our open hours (Tues/Wed 10am-5pm, Thurs-Sat 10am-8pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm). You can also contact us for questions through the form below!
